Mediation occurs when two or more
willing people come together to resolve a conflict and reach a
mutually acceptable agreement with the assistance of a neutral
third party mediator.
The role of the mediator
is not to take sides or give advice. The mediator facilitates
constructive communication to enhance listening and understanding
with the goal of fostering relationships and solutions to the
issues.
